Experience the work of Chinese courts on the spot and understand the Chinese legal and judicial system. On the same day, there was also a symposium on “China, South Asia, and all sides”.
Under the guidance of court staff, legal personnel from various countries visited the court’s security inspection hall, Litigation Service Center, sub mediation and adjudication center, juvenile trial court, judge Wu Xian’s office, etc. During the visit, through the introduction and personal operation of the court staff, we experienced the online filing, payment and other operation process of Xishan court. Judge Zhou Yubo, who has been engaged in the trial of juvenile cases for many years, made a detailed explanation on the relevant handling of juvenile cases proposed by legal persons of various countries.
A visitor from Pakistan said they saw “a living Chinese law and judicial system” at the Xishan court. Foreign friends expressed their admiration for “the Chinese government’s concern and investment in the court’s construction and development”. At the same time, they affirmed the application of information technology in the trial of Xishan court, the humanistic concern in the trial of juvenile cases, the convenience of electronic filing system, and the exploration of diversified dispute resolution. Liang Yinghua, vice president of Xishan District Court, introduced the relevant situation of Xishan court. Legal practitioners from India, Maldives, Nepal and other countries have conducted in-depth exchanges with judges Wu Xian, Yang Yun and Chu Ying of Xishan Court on China’s judge appointment system, the use of scientific and technological means in the court, and the characteristics of different legal systems.
It is reported that more than 20 legal persons are all students of the China South Asia legal talent seminar sponsored by China Law Society and organized by Yunnan University Law School, China South Asia legal talent training base and China South Asia legal research center. Zhou Changfa, director of the teaching and research section of economic law and international law of Yunnan University School of law, Secretary General of China South Asia legal talent training base and China South Asia legal research center, believes that Yunnan has unique geographical advantages facing south Asia and Southeast Asia, and holds China South Asia legal talent training, aiming to deepen the understanding of Chinese law and judicial system of South Asian countries and promote China China South Asia exchanges and cooperation in depth.
